For a modern velvet matte lip it is essential lips are in tip top condition. Exfoliate them once a week with a soft toothbrush and apply your favourite lip balm to soothe and soften.

TOP TIPS FOR LIPS
For a pristine pout and to make your lipstick or gloss last longer, outline and fi ll in lips with lip liner before applying colour, this makes for an ideal base. Lip liner also helps stop your lip colour from feathering.
For good lip liner application, smile with your mouth closed to give a good shape and starting from your cupids bow and work outwards, on your bottom lip line draw from one corner to the other. Always keep to the inside of your lips, never be tempted to draw outside! This does not create a desirable pout!
Apply the iridescent shimmer gloss to the center of lips will make your lips appear fuller.
For a nude look apply the natural gloss across lips with the applicator, but don’t be tempted to overload the lips, always fi nish by using lip liner to stop any bleeding.
Always use a lip brush to apply darker or brighter colours which
require precise application.
When I’m on a shoot I disguise an uneven lip line by fi rstly applying a light coat foundation over the lip area and then applying the lip liner, this helps correct any uneven lip shape.
